Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2024-2025 school year:

Position: Custodian- Graveyard
Hours: 8 hours per day
Calendar: 260 days per year (July-June)

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
- Knowledge of modern cleaning methods and the use and care of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Experience in janitorial work and demonstrated aptitude for successfully fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
- Use cleaning materials and equipment with skill, efficiency and safety; perform heavy physical labor; understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge and experience in grounds keeping.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and ability to get along well with students and the public.
- General Job Description at the District Administration Office.
- Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
- Pre-employment physical and drug screen required. Prior to a final job offer being extended to an applicant, the applicant must show proof of successful completion of a Pre-Employment Functional Exam.
- Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $66 ODE processing fee.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- $17.61-$25.44 per hour. Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
- Differential pay for the third shift (graveyard) shall be an additional 5% of the employee’s regular hourly rate.
- Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
- Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
- 12 paid holidays per year
- 2 personal days per year
- 12 paid sick leave days per year
- Up to 20 vacation days per year, calculated by years of service with the District
- Bereavement leave, as per bargaining agreement
- Up to $1,522 per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical, dental, and vision insurance
- $4,251 per year insurance opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6-hour employees), $3,825.90 (4–6-hour employees)
- 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
- Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($800-$1,400)
