Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2024-2025 school year:

Position: Bus Driver- Route 112

Hours: 5 hours per day

Calendar: 185 days per year

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Must have an excellent driving record.
3. Valid Class B CDL driver’s license with “P” and “S” endorsements and no Air Brake restriction.
4. ODE School Bus Driver Certificate or permit
5. Must pass criminal history check.
6. Ability to pass physical, drug, and alcohol tests.
7. Ability to operate heavy duty vehicles in a safe and economical way.
8. Excellent communication skills with the ability to get along well with students of all ages and their parents.
9. Ability to learn routes, rules and procedures.
10. Ability to work varying split shifts, cover AM and PM bus routes as well as short trips.
11. Other transportation related duties as assigned.
12. Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.

• Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $66 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $22.26-$32.15 per hour. Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
• Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
• Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
• 6 paid holidays per year
• 2 personal days per year
• 10 paid sick leave days per year
• Bereavement leave, as per bargaining agreement
• Continuing Education Funds, up to $1,000 per year
• Up to $1,522 per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical, dental, and vision insurance
• $4,251 per year insurance opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6-hour employees), $3,825.90 (4–6-hour employees)
• 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
• Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($800-$1,400)
